The Relationship Manager position within the Corporate ABL group is focused on larger corporate ABL clients. Clients include public companies, private equity backed portfolio companies, and larger privately owned businesses (Revenue and EBITDA generally in excess of $1Bn and $100MM, respectively).
Primary duties and responsibilities include: assisting in the overall credit and administration of a portfolio of ABL clients; analyzing collateral and financial performance of borrowers; reviewing and interpreting credit loan documents; working closely with Corporate and Investment Banking, Middle Market Regional Banking, Leverage Finance, and other Wells Fargo Partners to build strong relationships and enhance credit and other economic opportunities with customers within the existing portfolio base. In connection with these efforts, the Relationship Manager 1 will attend meetings with portfolio clients (light travel involved) and WF partners, actively work with Senior Relationship Managers, Portfolio and Regional Portfolio Managers and other Senior management in evaluating, structuring and executing transactions within the portfolio; support underwriting functions for new client transactions entering portfolio; provide coaching and mentoring of Analysts, monitor and evaluate/maintain appropriate risk ratings; work on various compliance related matters utilizing Optimist spreading tool for spreading/analyzing financial statements and OneView for trend cards, credit modification requests and other monitoring functions.
Additionally, the Relationship Manager 1 will review, analyze and develop responses (as needed) for field exams and appraisals for review, work with RMs to address significant trends or changes in key asset valuation and credit indicators or variables, perform regular review and analysis of required reporting submitted by borrowers, including borrowing base certificates, assist with preparation of client strategies for targeted bank product services, attend client meetings, complete periodic projects assigned by RMs and LPMs and perform other related borrower and department assignments as required.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial lending experience, credit analysis experience, or a combination of both

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of asset based lending or commercial lending
- Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, statements and accounting concepts
- Knowledge and understanding of middle market commercial banking
- Knowledge and understanding of middle market corporate finance
- Knowledge and understanding of statement spreading programs
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Strong analytical skills
- A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
