THE OPPORTUNITY:
Develops and implements Camino Financial's brand, content and PR strategy and campaigns. The Brand & Content Director is responsible for managing the content, social and PR teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conceiving and implementing concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and overseeing them to completion
- Develop Brand positioning, messaging and segmentation, and voice;
- Setting objectives for the PR team and monitoring team members' performance
- Maximizing brand presence on various channels (e.g. web, radio and social media)
- According the Camino's marketing strategy, onboard and manage creative agencies to produce content and develop marketing campaigns
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with media and influential professionals
- Develop and execute multi-faceted content marketing campaigns that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention for Camino;
- Use data to help inform content marketing strategy, social media strategy, and decisions on content creation and syndication;
- Serve as an in-house editor for all external content, including partnerships with leading trade publications;
- Develop the roadmap for content that aligns against integrated marketing initiatives like campaigns, events, product launches, and promotions;
- Own content strategy and execution across digital and print channels;
- Lead content and digital marketing team of 5+
- Support the SEO team in managing the resources and blog sections of the Camino site;
- Master the proper mix of formats (e.g. blogs, guides, ebooks, reports, videos, interactive content, podcasts, etc.) and distribution channels;
- Develop and/or shape the content that is produced for Camino-hosted events and webinars;
- Develop an understanding of - and build a model for - how to measure content's influence on pipeline generation and closed-won business;
- Develop a deep understanding of Camino's customers and prospects and figure out what motivates them and the decision makers around them;
- Deliver a content marketing program that delivers measurable value (not just clicks);
- Lead employer marketing content creation including website, blog, social, white papers, newsletters, and email nurture campaigns.
Essential Professional and Technical Skills
- Passionate about Brands and the intersection of technology and finance;
- Ability to take complex information and communicate it clearly in simple and understandable language for our target audiences;
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and re-prioritize quickly;
- Entrepreneurial with an ability to create and follow plans yet flexible enough to respond to change while balancing multiple projects and priorities;
- Desire to learn, grow and develop as a first-class startup executive, and to mentor future team members;
- Experience managing teams, include remote and virtual employees;
- Comfortable with both big-picture strategy and in-the-weeds execution;
- Earns trusts of teammates to work creatively together;
- Curious - Keeps up to date on new developments & best practices in content marketing across multiple industries;
- Creates culture of experimentation and repetitive excellence;
- Solid experience coordinating successful PR campaigns;
- Expertise in different social networks, including Facebook and Twitter.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Masters Degree in business or marketing field is a plus
Essential Work Experience
- 7+ years of content marketing experience
- 3+ years of public relations experience
- Prior role was a director or equivalent in the marketing department
Desired Work Experience
- 3+ years management experience at a start-up
- 2+ years marketing in fintech industry
