THE OPPORTUNITY
DISCO is seeking a highly organized and driven Business Development professional who will be responsible for qualifying new business leads and building sales opportunities for the team. We are looking for a self-motivated teammate with high social intelligence and experience working with our target market.
Our prospects are predominantly SMBs including but not limited to music supervisors and independent sync companies to rights holders, artists, A&R, radio, management and studios.
The Business Development Consultant plays a critical role in the sales cycle and is often the first contact that a prospective customer has with DISCO. The role will work hand-in-hand with the small but mighty sales team to generate and develop new business leads through prospecting efforts and ensure we have accurate data in our CRM.
This is a remote position with the potential to work with others from our LA co-working space if you're a local.
THE ROLE:
* Provide a world-class customer experience to all inbound and outbound leads expressing interest in DISCO
* Educate customers on the value of DISCO in a thoughtful way
* Run full sales cycle, lead to close with prospects.
* Keep meticulous records of interactions with leads in our CRM (Pipedrive).
* Actively experiment and iterate on new and possibly unconventional ways to capture our markets imagination.
* Research target accounts and partner with the sales team to develop a strategic plan for connecting with them.
* Demonstrate empathy for customers struggles and challenges.
YOU:
* Can show at least two years experience in a predominantly, commercial or business development role in SaaS, SMB, or high growth startups OR two years experience in sales or promotions in the music or media industry.
* Experience with outbound prospecting and managing a CRM.
* Ambitious and driven to achieve goals.
* Intellectually curious and resourceful.
* Articulate and poised with a clear and concise spoken and written communication style
* Posses the innate ability to build meaningful business relationships.
* Have the ability to think on your feet in a conversation and answer unexpected questions with ease.
* Looking to make a big impact and grow your career at an early-stage, high-growth music startup.
