Job description

Omelet, an award-winning, independent creative agency with a growing and exciting client roster, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated, multidisciplinary Copywriter for its Culver City headquarters location.

You are a conceptual Copywriter who is passionate and driven to make work people will talk about. You're nimble, curious, entrepreneurial, and collaborative in how you solve creative challenges. You are a student of trends in culture, media, and technology, and relish in finding inventive uses of media to tell stories. Every assignment, big or small, is an opportunity to create something special for yourself and for your clients.

Although we are currently temporarily remote, candidates must be based in Los Angeles in the long term.

General Job Responsibilities

Working cross functionally, you will conceptualize, write, and edit engaging, relevant, original copy for a variety of clients across multiple platforms

You will collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive and creative solutions and maintain high creative standards through all stages of development and production, including signing off on successful integration with visual and interactive design deliverables

Mentor and lead junior team members throughout the process and work closely with creative leadership to execute and prioritize projects.

You will be challenged to concept against a range of timelines and strategies. From 24 hr quick turn content, to proactive long-term creative campaigns.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience as a copywriter in advertising or media
  • Experience writing in multiple styles and for various formats and channels, including social and digital
  • Experience in writing up concepts and campaign ideas, creating materials for pitches and presentations, writing copy for social, digital, and/or writing scripts of various lengths
  • Some production experience including but not limited to social, digital, film or experiential
  • Social media and internet-obsessed - you understand trends, platforms and have a digital-first mindset
  • Ability to clearly articulate and sell your ideas with conviction and reason to your internal team and clients
  • Able to amend and redevelop campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director and/or client
  • A true multitasker - you can manage and prioritize multiple work streams
