Randstad Technologies is currently seeking a talented and accomplished Device Integration Engineer for one of the leading healthcare systems in the country! This role requires hands-on experience supporting clinical engineering teams with demonstrated expertise in HL7, integration engineering and medical device integration. This role is fully-remote except for as-needed project work where onsite will be required (walk-throughs of the facility, hospital, ensuring devices are set up correctly and configured properly)

responsibilities:
- Provide SME to Clinical leadership, Operational leadership, IT leadership and other partners to evaluate, analyze and understand workflows, business direction and needs to provide proactive recommendations.
- Provides SME consultation for system assessment, design, implementation, and support strategy for clinical technology, IT networks, and integrations within part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Lead the solution design and deployment of clinical technology in existing and new care delivery environments in conjunction with clinical and technology partners.
- Monitor clinical technology trends and evaluate emerging technology trends. Report findings and recommend strategy for management of clinical technology and integration of related technology within hospital system.
- Ensure efficient performance of the Clinical Software Suite of Applications to minimize outages. Provides 7x24 support for applications on a rotation basis.
- Mentor other members of the Team on all technical aspects, including but not limited to standards, workflows, messaging concepts, clinical systems, alerting/alarming, software platform internals, debugging strategies, and performance tuning.
- Design and document test plans. Engineer and perform software and firmware upgrades in a controlled environment to ensure upgrade will have minimal disruption to clinical and operational workflows.
- Coordinate clinical information system development activities with key Informatics and Technology engineering groups, including:
- Coordination with systems integration team to implement, test, and maintain system interfaces.
- Coordination with Informatics and Technology groups to analyze business and interface requirements.
- Coordination with network engineers and UNIX systems administrators to implement and maintain clinical information system platforms.
- Research business and clinical needs and develop procedures to extract clinical data and generate reports to support operations, quality management, resource management, regulatory, and research purposes.
- Design processes and programs for incident investigations and equipment performance analysis.
- Function as a liaison to Application and Clinical teams; lead various healthcare technology committees and workgroups; support development of strategies to incorporate industry standard methodologies into health system.
- Lead team efforts in special projects as assigned by senior management.

- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors

- HL7 (3 years of experience is required)
- Medical Device Integration (2 years of experience is required)
- Interface Development (3 years of experience is preferred)
