In addition to our own intellectual property, Impact Museums partners with top creators to expand their proprietary IP. Our first partnership is a joint venture with the visionary creators of the global phenomenon Immersive Van Gogh to expand their US footprint, build and operate multiple immersive museum venues, and scale operations to reach millions of visitors.

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Director of Business Development to close strategic partnerships and secure IP licenses in the film, television, music, sports, art and book industries. This executive will oversee all IP licensing and third party experiential joint venture deals, reporting to the company's Founders. They will build their team of subject matter experts that drive the growth of Impact Museums' studio and platform business through the development and implementation of a highly targeted IP strategy. This executive identifies, negotiates, closes and builds partnerships that will directly drive audience, revenue, and profit for Impact Museums.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in tandem with our Studio team to identify and license third party IP in film, television, music, sports, art, books and more.
- Work in tandem with our Live platform team to Identify existing third party experiences interested in a national partnership with Impact Museums
- Collaborate closely across departments to ensure that the right stakeholders are engaged for key presentations (comfortable navigating a matrix organization)
- Develop financial models to ensure data-driven decisions are made for all partnership deals
- Work closely with Impact Museums counsel to draft, negotiate and close partnership deals
- Identify and evaluate new trends, categories, concepts, and businesses that will grow Impact Museums in alignment with long-term objectives
- Maintain accurate forecasting of projected revenue and adjustment of targets
- Develop frameworks to measure the impact of a broad variety of partnership types
- Closely manage all partnership to ensure a successful outcome for all parties
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7-10 years relevant experience in business development in the music and entertainment industry
- An existing network of high level relationships representing top tier IP partners (local and global)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with C-level clients
- A diverse set of quantitative and negotiation
- Strong project management experience with the proven ability to prioritize a heavy workload with conflicting deadlines
- An understanding of IP contracts and ability to work closely with counsel to draft and finalize detailed contracts
