We currently have an opening for a Sr. Manager, IT Applications. This position will be located in Santa Monica, CA.



Main Duties:


The Sr. Manager, IT Applications manages the systems that support the Accounting/Finance and Operations functions globally. This position will lead the application support and delivery function for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and on-premise applications within Corporate IT, develop and support integrations between these applications and help drive development of new features and implement complimentary third party solutions to meet ongoing business needs.


Reporting to the Director of Global Systems, this position provides key support to senior management, works very closely with the Accounting/Finance, HR, Operations and IT teams and interacts with all groups within the business units to ensure satisfaction and identify potential issues/opportunities for service improvement.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinates capture of requirements, design, configuration/development, testing, deployment and support activities across multiple groups to ensure the Accounting/Finance, Order Management, Billing and Collections solutions are optimally configured and integrated to support business needs
  • Manages US-based and offshore/India-based application support and delivery analysts/engineers
  • Recommends staffing needs, reassignments, transfers, and terminations. Recommends and assists evaluation of potential staff additions. Conducts performance reviews, recommends performance improvements, career development, and promotional actions
  • Participates in day-to-day technical activities and task accomplishments. Monitors and evaluates processes, techniques, and performance. Reviews documentation and delivery of services
  • Provides customer support through schedules, status reports, briefings, presentations, and training. Works closely with customers to coordinate tasking, report progress, resolve technical issues, and assure project success. Initiates and coordinates exchanges of technical information with other work groups and organizations
  • Leads the design, development and support of application integrations (API, flat-file, point-to-point, publish/subscribe, etc.) enabling high-performing, responsive and resilient business services with effective data quality and error management mechanisms and dependable exchanges of digital information
  • Identifies, assesses, and solves complex business problems for integrating the Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud financial application, Xytech MediaPulse application and other external applications across a wide array of accounting/finance, HR and operations functional areas, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Engages with 3rd party vendors as required
  • Manages the delivery of managed-services application support from 3rd party service providers
  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by leadership when establishing project goals
  • Collaborates with Accounting/Finance, Operations, HR, Payroll & IT teams to successfully deliver shared objectives
  • Responsible for timely identification and escalation of risks and development of alternative technical and functional approaches when necessary
  • Help identify process improvements and changes to our methodology based on project experience
  • Ability to evaluate business processes and strategies and to develop and support business goals and objectives in a cost-effective manner
  • Builds strong internal relationships with key Accounting/Finance, Operations, HR, Payroll, IT and other business leaders to define and understand strategic and tactical data requirements
  • Manage Master Data Management, Security and application team support for D365 HR and D365 Finance

  • Experience in the configuration, implementation and support of Accounting/Finance and Order Management business applications
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 financial applications preferred
  • Prior experience with Xytech Enterprise or Xytech MediaPulse a plus
  • Significant experience implementing and supporting SaaS financial applications strongly preferred
  • Experience demonstrating understanding of Finance/Accounting and Order Management, Billing and Collections processes
  • Experience managing a technical team
  • Demonstrated experience in IT application support and prioritization of requests
  • Strong experience in building partnership with business leaders and vendor partners
  • Supporting custom applications in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Experience in Software Development lifecycle
