Location Based in: Los Angeles, CA

Position Objective:

The Field Service Merchandiser is responsible for driving our business at the point of sale. This position services our retail wholesale accounts with a focus on sales results, as well as, delivering well-merchandised, visually engaging programs and executing our training programs and promotional campaigns to deliver successful product launches at the retail level.

Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Achieve sales sell-through results at the point of sale with selling, training and merchandising in assigned territory.
  • Monitor sales weekly/monthly to ensure individual and company sales goals and metrics are achieved.
  • Motivate and mentor sales associates to ensure individual and company sales goals are met.
  • Provide all customers with customer service that is in accordance with company standards.
  • Communicate and execute brand promotions and marketing plan at the store level within assigned territory.
  • Understand and analyze the competitive landscape and use this information to sell around the competition and communicate to Account Services team.

Merchandising:

  • Manage the in-store presentation of our and drive brand loyalty by maintaining and protecting the retail space, replenishing merchandise as stock sells down and maintenance of branded fixtures and shop.
  • Execute and manage the installation of branded shop-in-shops in coordination with the Regional Manager and Visual Team.
  • Execute account and brand marketing campaigns.
  • Build constructive, effective relationships with all levels of account and store personnel: Regional or District Managers, Store managers, Sales Associates and Stock teams.
  • Deliver successful launches of new collections at the point of sale by execution of consumer events and POS campaigns.
  • Gain support of our brands and garner key real estate
  • Ensure key collections are protected at the point of sale and in prime retail space

Training:

  • Maintain product knowledge of the entire Victorinox brand product portfolio
  • Execute new product collection launches at the point of sale by ensuring complete sales associate training and participation in spiff programs.
  • Onboard all new sales associates in department and or account.
  • Deliver successful launches of new collections at the point of sale by ensuring complete sales associate training and all-door participation in spiff programs.
  • Educate store managers, sales associates, personal shoppers and wedding and gift registry on brand, product features/benefits and selling strategies.
  • Facilitate company wide training seminars and/or events as needed.

Reporting:
Work closely with Regional Manager and Sales Teams to ensure service efforts align with sales initiatives and needs of the account.

  • Attend and contribute to training meetings, conference calls, and touch bases.
  • Create store visit schedule to maximize opportunities to generate sales.
  • Provide service reports per door as it pertains to sell-through results, sales trends, real estate allocation, product feedback, competition, POS needs and ideas to generate sales.
  • Communicate supply stock levels and product quality issues Product Development and Sales Team as necessary.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Operations:

  • Follow vendor compliance in wholesale locations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work towards set sales goals on a weekly basis individually and as a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with management, customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to lift boxes, manipulate a hand truck, able to move heavy objects easily. This includes: lifting up to 50lbs, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling with possibly no elevator access.
  • 3-5 years previous retail sales experience.
  • Preferred: luxury sales experience dealing with timepieces, luggage, cutlery/knives, and or apparel.
  • Flexibility in schedule. Must be able to change schedule when needed due to business needs.
  • Florida Region only: Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
