Our salon focuses on providing a warm, friendly, relaxing and inviting atmosphere to our staff and guests as well as excellent customer service and extensive education at all levels.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Aveda Front Desk Coordinator
Experience: Must have Minimum 1 year of salon experience
Reports to: Head Hair Stylist/Manager
Basic Function:
Assist staff in salon components and customer satisfaction. Help facilitate organization-wide quality improvement and business development
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 1 year of Aveda salon or Aveda institute experience, good communication skills, guest relations skills; neat appearance; service oriented, takes initiative; good attendance and punctuality; dependability;
good safety awareness; organized use of time; cooperation working as a team
member; flexibility
POSITION SUMMARY:
Achieves Superior Customer Service standards set by the Store.
Achieves or exceeds all sales goals set by the Store.
Contributes to overall success and growth of the Store.
Proficiency with Word and Excel computer programs
Proficiency with use of equipment needed to perform technical work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
Maintaining the Standards
Implement all rules, policies, and guidelines consistently
Maintain facility standards, correct any deficiencies possible and inform Management of such deficiencies
Answering phones, scheduling appointments, product inventory, run errands, laundry, light filing and light cleaning
Maintain and implement all health and safety standards according to stylist licensure
Respect - Recognizing our own value and the value of others
PROVIDE SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Familiarization of Aveda products and services
Ensures all guest receive the highest level of service.
Acknowledge and greet all guests and offers friendly, prompt, and courteous service
Orientation of guests to house rules, such as, cancellation policies
Familiarization with guests and all pertinent guest information at all times
Knowledge of services provided and service price
Consultations with guests regarding hair, style, damage, appropriate techniques, services and products needed
Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge - Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job
Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions
Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
Attend and participate in special occasion activities for guests
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow through on all directives left by the Head Stylist
Sell Aveda hair, beauty and skin care products
Meet or exceed all individual sales and productivity goals
Crisis management, when needed
Spot cleaning salon (including sweeping, wiping, mopping), as needed
Keep work stations clean at all times and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs
Organization of displayed product line and magazines, as needed
Washing and drying towels and smocks, as needed
Any and all other duties as directed by head stylist/managers/supervisors
CONTRIBUTE TO OVERALL STORE SUCCESS
Work closely with other Beauty Artists and Front Line to ensure excellent customer service and goal achievement
Willingly accepts new ideas and changes in procedures/assignments.
Able to positively absorb constructive feedback and adjust future actions accordingly.
Maintains a positive work environment by seeking the resolution of concerns and offering solutions to problems.
Promote a professional, respectful, fun and gossip free environment for customers and employees
Exhibits a professional demeanor at all times while in the workplace.
Maintain a clean, well-stocked and orderly work area
Accurately completes any tasks assigned by Head stylist.
Assists with fulfilling store and/or company education needs as necessary.
Ensures proper cleanliness and hygiene of all work areas at all times.
Partners with Store Management to ensure all Visuals and Merchandising are current and arranged for maximum customer appeal.
Responsible for assisting with inventory counts as necessary.
Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance and punctuality for shifts and breaks.
Follows all Loss prevention and Safety guidelines and communicates any violations to management.
Act professionally, ethically and with integrity, using good judgment at all times
Help maintain clean and safe sales and stock areas, communicate maintenance issues to head stylist/managers/supervisors
Communicate training needs that will result in raised sales to head stylist/managers/supervisors
Ensure compliance with all Company and Retailer policies and procedures
