Job description

Overview:

This is an entry level position for a qualified HR professional just starting out in their career. The successful candidate will learn all aspects of Human Resources in a busy high technology organization with an amazing vision. HR Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource data base, files, records, and documentation.
  2. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  3. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  4. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  5. Provides clerical support to the HR department in all functional areas: Hiring, Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, Employee Relations and Communication.
  6. Assists with new hire orientation.
  7. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and training sessions.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Receptionist Responsibilities:
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • Maintains clean reception and common space areas, orders office supplies.
  • Coordinates and order lunch/deliveries for various representatives.
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Receives shipped parcels, incoming mail, and distributes to each department in a timely manner.

  • Required Skills/Abilities:
    1. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
    2. Proactivity, timeliness in response, organization and effective communication skills are a must
    3. Goal and results oriented with a "get things done", "roll up your sleeves" approach
    4. Have a great attitude and be a great teammate. We love working together, learning from each other, and celebrating success.
    5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    6. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

    Education and Experience:
    1. Human Resources qualification and an Associate's degree required.
