Our client is a consortium of twenty-six cities and water districts that provides drinking water to nearly 19 million people in Southern California. Our Client's mission is to provide its service area with adequate and reliable supplies of high-quality water to meet current and future needs in an environmentally and economically responsible way. Our client's facilities include the 242-mile Colorado River Aqueduct, five conventional water treatment plants with a combined capacity of 2.3 billion gallons per day, nine surface water reservoirs, 800 miles of pipeline, and 16 hydroelectric power plants.

Our client currently has a temporary opening for a Payroll Admin Analyst for Human Resources Department in Los Angeles.

The temp labor assignment is up to 6mos (District Temp possibilities) and the work schedule is a 9/80 schedule starting as early as 7:00am - 4:45pm with every other Friday off.

The Principle Admin Analyst will be working in remotely and in office (When required) until further notice. *Masks must be worn while working at MWD

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE:

  • Number of years of experience in a Principle Admin Analyst role:
  • Number of years of experience as a Payroll PeopleSoft SME:
  • Number of years of experience in HRIS Management (functional); Benefits, Payroll, Accounting & Finance:
  • Number of years of experience with Functional background to help upgrade client's HR systems:
  • Number of years of experience with Time & Labor Implementation & HR Reporting:
  • Number of years of experience with:
    • Payroll (Kronos Time Keeping):
    • PS HCM:
    • Benefits Administration:
    • Core HR Tables (SQL, SQR, App Engine etc.):
    • Pivot Tables, Formulas, Charts, and Vertical Lookup:
  • Most significant recent accomplishment:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Client is looking for candidates who are professional, organized, strong written and verbal communication.
  • The PR Admin Analyst will work with a small team to strategized and brainstorm "New" ideas to upgrade our current (PeopleSoft) day-to-day process and additional HR platforms we have in place.
  • This person will also participate in departmental meetings with leadership to discuss updates.
  • For the candidate to be successful in this role, we realize the right candidate will come from a FUNCTIONAL background and have payroll (PS) knowledge (less than 5 years ago) to help upgrade our current HR systems.
  • Enough TECHNICAL background is required to communicate and work with systems configuration & administration.

Experience expectations listed below:

  • 8 years or more in HRIS Management (functional), Benefits, Payroll, Accounting and Finance
  • Payroll PeopleSoft SME (worked with PS less than 5 years ago)
  • Bargaining Units experience is A+
  • Payroll (Kronos Time Keeping) PS HCM, Benefits Administration, Core HR Tables (SQL, SQR, App Engine etc.) and experience in Pivot Tables, Formulas, Charts, and Vertical Lookup.
  • Oversee Time & Labor Implementation and HR Reporting.
  • Analytical & Detail Oriented Skills are a must.
