Overview:California Rehabilitation Institute*A Joint Venture with Cedars-Sinai, UCLA Health and Select Medical*Century City, Los Angeles, CA Payroll Specialist / HR Coordinator - Full TimeMon - Fri 8:30am - 5pmEvery Other Friday 7:00am - 4:30pmThe Payroll Specialist is an integral part of the Human Resources Department. HR is a collaborate team of 5 that report to the HR Director. Each member of our medical, clinical administrative and support teams bring a level of experience, expertise and commitment to patient care that is unmatched in our industry.ResponsibilitiesData entry of payroll items including, but not limited to, time clock adjustment forms, paid time off requests, and ancillary payments into the Kronos Timekeeping system.Daily review and auditing of payroll reports and other pertinent payroll items.Accurate and timely bi-weekly processing of over 500 checks with the coordination and support from our corporate payroll department.Processes personnel changes such as final wages, promotions and department transfers.Training new members of management team in payroll responsibilities and practices.Maintains updated knowledge of wage and hour laws and changes.Responds to EDD request regarding unemployment/disabilityResponsible for providing employees and requestors verifications of employment in a timely manner.Participates in interdisciplinary committees to support improvement in areas such as employee engagement, Equity Inclusion Diversity (EID), Environment of Care, Safety, etc.Helps deliver an exceptional employee experience by providing a customer service centered support for various HR related inquiries.Assists with other duties when requiredQualifications:Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Human Resources preferred.Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience processing payrollAccurate and timely data entry skills in an HRIS such as Kronos, ADP, Peopelsoft, etc.Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office inlcuding Word, Excel and ExcelExcellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.Must work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Additional Data:California Rehabilitation Institute a 138-bed facility offers patients a higher degree of excellence in medical rehabilitation.
