We are looking to partner with an experienced senior executive with in depth knowledge of the fashion and apparel industry to lead a recently acquired portfolio company. The business is a leading branded and private label designer and manufacturer of quick turn juniors and missy's dresses, jumpsuits and tops. The customer base is primarily comprised of off-price and branded clients who value the companies ability to design and manufacturer product domestically on a tight timelines at competitive prices.

The ideal candidate is a creative and operationally oriented leader with an extensive background in the Los Angeles fast fashion and apparel industry and possesses a strong working knowledge of fashion trends, fashion clothing design, sourcing of materials (primarily fabric), manufacturing (outsourced in domestically and internationally), and growing sales while building lasting relationships with wholesale buyers. Superior candidates should have a proven track record of success managing and growing brands in the women's fast fashion industry, with deep relationships with off-price customers, natural leadership skills, and a strong sales background. Candidates should be highly self-directed, entrepreneurial-oriented, and capable of developing and executing strategy across multiple businesses.


Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall operational leadership of the organization
  • Lead the development, execution, and monitoring of the company's growth plan
  • Establish appropriate annual and long-term financial objectives and strategic goals, along with appropriate reporting of KPIs, that drive accountability, organizational improvement, and long-term equity value creation for the company
  • Lead the organization in all aspects of daily operations, strategic implementation, fiscal oversight, and employee management
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to the leadership team to ensure all functions are operating successfully, including design, production, and sales departments
  • Oversee annual budget and financial management process
  • Accountable to the Board of Directors; develop and maintain effective relationships with Board members; prepare information for board meetings
  • Ensure effective communication to the Board and various committees about evolving organizational issues and progress toward the organization's goals and objectives
  • Accountable for creating an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the organizations mission, vision and values
  • Attract, develop, support, reward and retain highly skilled and high performing management staff
  • Oversee all key external relationships and ensure a positive company image


Ideal Candidate Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in fashion design, business, management, finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business leadership and management with management experience
  • Extensive experience in the apparel industry, preferably within juniors and missy's fast fashion dresses
  • Deep supply chain sourcing and manufacturing relationships in North America and Asia
  • Exceptional customer service and sales skills and a sharp focus on customer satisfaction and meeting customer needs
  • Ability to build relationships and engage with a variety of high-level stakeholders and partners, including but not limited to, Board of Directors, investors, banking relationships, customers, and senior management
  • Highly self-directed and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial setting
  • Metrics driven; ability to drive results through data
  • Strong written and oral communication skills - inspiring, professional, and credible
