Job description

Responsibilities:

• Provide real and/or personal property tax services.
• Engage in building and fostering client relationships.
• Represent clients and provide excellent client service.
• Assist in appeal hearings and/or audit representation.
• Develop knowledge of complex valuation issues.
• Research and acquire knowledge of property jurisdictions for assigned state(s).
• Update ASCEND with tax values, status and notes for clients.
• Respond to requests from co-workers and clients.
• Proactively develops filing and valuation strategies.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years progressive property tax experience.
• BS/BA required with concentration in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, and/or general business.
• Licensing and/or certifications in areas of real estate and tax assessment are preferred.
• Focused on accuracy and detail oriented.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Ability to work in fluid environment.
• Very good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem solving and investigative skills.
• Responsible for working with clients on tax and related issues.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Excellent use of time management skills.
• Negotiation skills
• Demonstrates working knowledge of property tax issues. Able to communicate clearly and concisely with client.
• Strong work ethic.
• High ethical standards.
