Senior Bank Teller
We are a dynamic $700M credit union located throughout Los Angeles County, looking for an experienced Member Relationship Specialist II (Senior Bank Teller) for our various branch locations in Los Angeles. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and is responsible for building and fostering relationships with Credit Union's members and potential members. The Senior Bank Teller gathers and analyzes member data at the time of each interaction to respond to inquiries and offer customized solutions using in-depth knowledge of CU products, services, and technologies.
This an essential, in-person position. The Senior Bank Teller follows all COVID-19 protocols to protect on-site employees and members, including: wearing PPE and maintaining social distancing at all times, completing the flu vaccination, completing at least one weekly COVID-test provided by the company at no cost, and completing a daily wellness screening before coming into the office. While our financial institution must be open to serve the members of our community, the safety of our employees and members are of the utmost importance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and deepening member relationships by providing high-quality consultative service that identifies member needs and matches those needs with value-added USCCU products and services
- Processing member transactions efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. Includes deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, new account application, lending applications, and all related documentation
- Using credit scoring, sound lending practices and solid judgment to make lending recommendations or decisions
- Participates in business development events and acts as a credit union ambassador both in and outside of the branch.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures as they relate to CU's products and services
- Acting, on occasion, as a backup Member Relationship Specialist at other CU locations/branches
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree
- Have a minimum of two years' experience in financial institution sales and service with a proven track record of meeting production and sales goals
- Be knowledgeable in Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, US Patriot Act, Regulation CC and funds availability, GLB and Member Financial Privacy, NCUSIF, and Truth in Savings
- Be flexible with scheduling that may include occasional Saturday hours and weekday afternoon/evening hours
- Possess a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, initiative and integrity
- Have exceptional interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Pass a pre-employment background and credit check
