We're seeking an exceptional verbal brand leader who's excited about everything that has to do with words: creating a unique voice, turning the business strategy into telling the story of Talkdesk in our next stage of growth, and engaging our internal and external audiences throughout their experiences.

As Senior Director of Verbal Branding, you'll report directly to our SVP of Brand and Corporate Marketing to develop and implement a differentiated brand voice, evolve our positioning and messaging, build our messaging matrix, and create first-of-a-kind copy assets. A successful candidate will have held a leadership role at a major branding firm with a focus on verbal identity or have worked at a hyper-growth company that had an in-house brand team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a differentiated brand voice, evolve our positioning and messaging, build our messaging matrix, and create first-of-a-kind copy assets
  • Working closely with our SVP, Brand & Corporate Marketing and key stakeholders including the Chief Marketing Officer lead the strategy, development and deployment of corporate storytelling through the different stages in the customer experience journey
  • Ensure we maintain a cohesive brand voice and style, including imagery, design, video, and social assets
  • Translate product features and launches into meaningful content that resonates with our customers and our customer's customers
  • Lead and contribute the advancement of verbal branding with best practices
Skills & Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in branding, advertising, or related field either client or agency-side with a strong track record
  • Well-versed in branding as a core competency and have expertise in naming, voice, messaging, content strategy, and content creation
  • A creative and editorial mindset in crafting compelling copy and content that drives awareness, inspires internal and external audiences, and engages customers, prospects, and our partners
  • Experience working cross-functionally within a SaaS environment with product marketing, industry strategy and industry marketing, demand generation, PR, and creative agencies
  • Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize, drive, and achieve results
  • Proactively report on the impact of verbal brand by measuring its influence on website traffic, engagement through dwell time, lead generation, and other key metrics.
  • Ability to synthesize data and insights & take actions by optimizing current initiatives or developing new ideas
  • Experience working at a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree a plus
  • Naming experience a plus
  • Knowledge of foreign languages and trademarks is a plus
  • Industry knowledge of contact centers, customer experience, and CRM a plus
