Job Summary

Participate in executing financial, compliance, and operational audits, by examining and evaluating company internal controls and processes, by consulting or partnering with organization leaders, and by applying knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Apply Internal Audit methodology consistently to all audits.

Present audit findings and recommendations to management and assess corrective actions taken to address audit recommendations.

Ability to clearly organize and inform through excellent written and verbal communications.

Ability to lead, act and provide goal-oriented solutions in the face of ambiguity.

Strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Work both independently and collaboratively with numerous people at all levels throughout the company.


Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor or master's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred.

At minimum 3 years of experience in Public Accounting and/Internal Audit.

Knowledge of and experience with internal auditing standards and generally accepted accounting principles is required.

Big 4 public accounting experience highly desired.

Experience in the real estate industry and property management is a plus.

Working knowledge of Yardi is a plus.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Able to deal effectively with multiple priorities.

Exercise a high degree of independent judgment and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide two or more options for problem-solving.

Strong partnership and in-depth understanding of the customer's business and current issues.
