Signage Technician
The role of the Facilities Engineering Technician - Signage Program Support is to assist the Facility and Operations Engineers in partnership with the Signage Program to signage installation on the Seattle and Bellevue campuses. Responsible for maintaining highest level of customer service through signage issues resolution, development of pro-active operations programs, trouble ticket team support, and providing support to Amazon Global Real Estate & Facilities (Amazon GREF).

Relationship to Other Positions Reports to Engineering Manager (Facilities or Property Management) in direction of Signage Program Manager.
Job Overview Facilities Engineering Technician - Signage Program Support, working with the Facilities and Operations Engineers will act as to support Amazon's GREF Signage Program to provide signage installation on the Seattle and Bellevue campuses.
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager in coordination with the Signage Program Manager, Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining basic operation and maintenance of all Amazon Owned signage systems by performing routinely preventative maintenance.
- Performing quality, tenant and public facing installation of items including room ID sign installation, GREF messaging, large format graphic print installation, mechanically fastened signs, minor carpentry and repair to finishes.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and desire to deliver all work in a professional manner
Work Scope:
- Installation of vinyl, adhesive, and mechanically fastened interior architectural signage for maintenance and post occupancy projects.
- Maintain inventory of materials and order on an as need basis through the request ticketing system.
- Perform site surveys as it relates to signage and environmental graphics installations.
- Provide technical knowledge to develop cost saving measures and program improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate security requests for floor access.
- Receive and coordinate schedule with Supervisor and Signage Program.
- Interact with vendor partners to coordinate material deliveries.
- Develop and maintain positive relations with Amazon GREF, Executive Administrators, Facilities Management, Property Management Teams and Vendors
- Support Signage Program for construction and move projects as it relates to signage, wayfinding, graphics and communication issues.
- Inspect all facilities on continuous basis, identify discrepancies, generate Remedy Trouble Ticket requests, manage related vendors as appropriate, recommend future repair & maintenance projects and track life cycle of assets.
- As requested by Supervisor, respond to Afterhours engineering related emergencies to assist Facility, Building and Operating Engineers.
- Ensure the Facilities documentation and electronic file systems are in accordance with the standard practice of Amazon GREF.
- Coordinate efforts with facilities management and base building management to ensure cohesive team effort for effective resolution of issues affecting Amazon as tenant.
- Work in support of the Facility Technicians - Program Support to perform as duties on an as need basis as it relates to general Program requests and initiatives.
- Adhere to all Amazon security policies and procedures and perform all duties in a safe manner and help ensure compliance with city, state and federal safety and environmental laws, codes, standards and regulations.
- Actively participate in required training activities and seminars
- Assume additional responsibilities as delegated by supervisor.
- Utilize computer equipment to compose routine correspondence, handle high volume of electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, service request entry.
- Assume additional responsibilities as may be delegated from time to time by the Engineering Manager.
