About the team and position

We're looking for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our rapidly growing team in our new Los Angeles office. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will work closely with our Recruiting and HR Ops teams to ensure the new employee onboarding experience runs effectively and efficiently. Additional duties include being responsible for the administration and management of our Greenhouse ATS, including creating and maintaining job postings, candidate application and selection forms, and related data and reports. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Carvana, and the new hire experience. The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Manager, Talent Acquisition.

While we are remote right now and targeting being back in the office January 2022. When it is time to go back into the office, you will be responsible for greeting candidates and helping them through their interview process while on site.

What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Setting new team members up for success by providing support and guidance throughout the onboarding and training experience including sending onboarding materials to our new hires in a timely manner, coordinating with hiring managers, and working closely with other teams in People Operations and Technology.
* Managing the team google drive and resources: organizing and updating files, creating or updating spreadsheets, documents, and presentation for the team.
* Track, maintain, and report staffing metrics on a weekly basis to necessary parties.
* Identify and share opportunities for process improvement in the hiring process and partner with the necessary stakeholders to implement improvements as directed.
* Prioritize necessary process improvements and ensure successful project execution while regularly communicating timelines and status with all parties involved.
* Maintaining requisitions, ensuring stages are organized.
* Coordinating interviews for candidates in later stages of the interview process.
* Creating and editing external communication (email/SMS) templates for team utilization.
* Develop tracking and reporting within our Greenhouse ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
* Creating training materials and resources for team members, and for continued learning and growth of all team members.
* Available to be onsite in our Playa Vista office 'at least' 3x week.
* Other duties include:
* Administering and processing Onboarding tasks in our HRIS system, Workday
* Ensuring each new hire is given the correct job title
* Coordinating with the IT team on equipment set up, setting up new hire desks with swag and sending swag to remote new hires
* Partnering up with the Recruiting and HR teams on Onboarding items (eg. Start dates, background checks, etc.)
* Ensuring the administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner
* Taking swag inventory and placing an order if needed
* Managing new hire presentations and engagement program
* Acting as a point of contact for new hires for any pre and post onboarding questions

What you should have

* A Bachelor's degree from an accredited undergraduate institution.
* 2+ years of experience in recruiting or the talent acquisition process.
* Advanced competency in data collection, analysis, and reporting/presentation.
* Experience with virtual recruitment (social media, LinkedIn, resume sourcing) is required.
* Experience working with an ATS, preferably Greenhouse.
* Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* You have a sense of humor. Kind of serious about this one.
* Understanding of the value of teamwork and how teams work…that was deep. If you disagree, read it again. Out loud if necessary.
* The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
