Job description

12x World Champion and Olympic Gold medalist is developing an individualized and adaptive Digital Coach based on deep tech and data science. We will leverage our celebrity brand and experience as well as the collective knowledge and resources of one of the leading Sports Performance Center that has - over the last 14 years - operated and refined an advanced pro athlete performance system.


xC will take the very best of the insight and expertise of one of the best performing athletes of all time to develop a Digital Coach that will guide and support users 24/7 and wherever they train.


xC has received early-stage funding from global leading investors and is in the process of developing a Beta.

Role's Vision:

  • Join the executive leadership team and align business and marketing strategy to drive the success of this disruptive startup transforming the Fitness space through Deep Tech.
  • As VP of Marketing, you'll work closely with the VP of Product and the Founders to develop the brand, communicate and grow the product ;
  • We recognize the VP of Marketing is a complex role that lies at the intersection of business, branding, and growth. We are looking for a seasoned professional with a combined knowledge of the marketing function and with consumer digital domain expertise. We understand that in a startup environment, the VP of Marketing often wears several hats. They are obliged to pick up the slack when there's no opportunity to hire dedicated specialists;
  • The ideal candidate has already marketed a product in Fitness (or parallel industries like Healthcare) that is founded on the coaching use case.



In this role you will lead:

  • Brand Vision: Set it and build the Brand vision and its impact on the entire company;
  • Marketing execution: Lead the marketing roadmap from launch to scale. Lead marketing execution with clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact;
  • Marketing standards: Define best practices around branding principles and user acquisition;
  • Team: Establish a high performing, one-team marketing culture emphasizing creativity, growth, retention, and development;
  • Innovation: Lead the effort of identifying opportunities and challenges in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of marketing advancements and innovation.



You must have:

  • Overall Experience: 10+ years marketing digital consumer products;
  • Use Case Track-Record: Marketed a "coaching" digital consumer product;
  • Scaling Track-Record: Scaled a product from MVP to scale;
  • Leadership experience: Managing from small to mid-sized teams (starting from 2-3 employees) and track-record of hiring and developing 10+ size teams;
  • Business fluency: Product/Business mindset and ability/interest to speak with leadership frequently and comprehensively;
  • Fundraising fluency: Ability to participate in VC meetings articulating the brand vision;
  • Travel: Able to travel up to 25% of the time, in our post-vaccine world;
  • Passion: For health, fitness, quantified self, and serving people.

  4. 3rd Interview: 60-90min Video/In-person with Leadership Team and other VPs: Practical case study ("What would you do?") / Extensive Q&A Time including Package discussion
