The Human Resources Administrator - Operations will assist the Human Resources Director in providing various administrative support in operational areas of Human Resources. This role will assist with professional HR services such as employee relations, employment engagement, training and supporting the Human Resources Compliance, Safety Compliance, Vendor Relations, and other HR divisions such as Benefits/Payroll/Recruiting team as needed. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within this field. They will also rely on some instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job. Responsible for keeping the Human Resources Director informed of all employee related matters, safety and compliance concerns. They must be comfortable in working in a fast pace and deadline driven environment. They must hold a high level of confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS
Perform HR functions as necessary:
* Assist the HR Director in providing instructional training to the corporate employees performing HR processes.
* Assist with updating Labor and Law Posters for new retail and corporate locations, research in advance any changes to wage and hour laws that will pertain to Minimum Wage changes and Sick Pay Leave Policies.
* Provide support for succession planning with utilization of LinkedIn Learning
* Provide updates for Development Plans and Performance Improvement Plans
* Maintain positive and continuous vendor relationships
* Assist in the creation/updating of procedure documentation as needed. Updating & posting policies and procedures as they relate to Human Resources. (Skechers Intranet)
* Work on staying abreast of all applicable laws, procedures, and pertinent information as it relates to Skechers HR operations.
* Support HR Director for employment and customer law cases.
* Assist the HR Director in maintaining all appropriate communication through email and written form to the corporate employees.
* Perform research, analysis, and/or assist with projects as necessary to ensure HR compliance.
* Support Field Loss Prevention and HR team for filing or file review
Safety requirements:
* OSHA updates
* Covid related updates (manuals, procedures, guidelines)
* Safety Committee (Meetings, CPR courses, First Aid, AED Training)
* First Aid kit replenishment
* Address Safety Hazards quickly
* Earthquake, Tsunami, Workplace Violence Awareness/Training
* Update all internal Safety Emergency Action Plan
Assist the HR Director in company safety efforts:
* Attend safety meetings.
* Assist with analyzing, review and investigate incidents and/or accidents.
* Assist with correcting safety hazards presented to HR in a timely manner.
* Prepare and distribute reporting results and observations of safety activity to HR Directors and VP.
* Prepare safety topics for monthly postings and department meetings. Update our postings in internal intranet.
* Hold safety meetings with staff as a needed pertaining their respective jobs.
* Review and address employee concerns regarding safety.
* Address observations of employee's departments violating safety or other procedures with the HR Director.
* Address parking concerns and proper safety measures
* Assist with Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, Recruiters and ERM's as needed.
* Assist in ensuring proper documentation of compliance with department procedures, i.e., maintaining and updating employee personnel
* Maintaining our internal system process with filing into Alchemy. Uploading and Storage process.
* Conduct New Hire Orientation for new employees.
* Support and enhance the Exit Interviews process
* Ensure continuity of all critical functions, prioritize department workload, ensure that all internal and external deadlines are met.
* Support data tracking for training personnel of all HR policies and procedures.
* Support data tracking for trainings required for compliance under state mandated Anti-Harassment laws in e-place.
HR administrative support:
* Assist with electronic onboarding process for new hire.
* Assist with verification of employment.
* Working with the Work Number to ensure data is accurate and up to date.
* Assist with completion of unemployment claims with state agencies in multiples states.
* Prepare and distribute engagement related flyers, postings, intranet etc.
* Support HRIS team as needed
* Assist the Recruitment Dept. in paperless onboarding process.
* Assist with internal issues relating to Onboarding systems as necessary.
* Continue to maintain and update the Skechers Information Boards for all buildings as needed.
Perform other general office duties as necessary:
* Ordering supplies
* Sorting daily mail
* Additional office duties such as answering phones, replenishing supply inventory, water, keeping the conference room in order
* Assisting with the receptionist support as needed
* Creating shipping and returning labels for equipment tracking
Corporate and Community Events Support responsibilities:
* IMPACT Committee (Internal DE&I initiative)
* Community Events (Pier to Pier, 1736 House, Food Drive, Tour de Pier, etc.)
* Assist with annual company and HR sponsored events (Health Fairs, Holiday Events, etc.)
* Assist with employee engagement activities as needed.
* (i.e., Blood Drives, Massage Days, Consignments tickets, Sample Sales, Toastmasters, Lunch and Learns, Wellness Initiatives, Birthday Celebrations, Years of service and Recognition Program etc.
* Supporting any and all future HR initiatives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* BA Degree in related field equivalent work experience.
* 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources environment a must.
* Bi-lingual a plus
* PHR certification a plus
* PIHRA or SHRM member a plus
