Job description

A Family Office is seeking a bright and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for their various business ventures. A successful Senior Accountant will be an integral part of this small but mighty team responsible for providing excellent accounting, finance, and administrative services to the principals, their children, and a multitude of related entities and trusts. The Senior Accountant will support the Controller in the annual tax reporting and compliance process and will collaborate with the Assistant Director who oversees accounts payable for the principals and FHV as well as IT and with a two-person accounting team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Controller with a variety of accounting needs
  • Oversee and review the A/P process prior to final review
  • Reconcile credit card, bank, and brokerage accounts monthly for the Principals
  • Process and track real estate and personal property tax payments for multiple residential properties and related property-owning entities
  • Manage cash flow by monitoring balances and identifying funding needs or concerns
  • Prepare and organize all invoices, accounts payables, accounts receivables, and expenses
  • Track revenue and vendor statements
  • Monitor checking accounts and balances
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and balance sheets
  • Assist with month/year end closes
  • Complete ad hoc finance and accounting projects


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in accounting or finance
  • 4-7+ years of accounting experience, preferably public accounting it tax or audit
  • Previously worked at a single or multiple family office desired
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
  • Detail and service-oriented in order to meet expectations of Principals
  • Problem solver who has the ability to think quickly on their feet
