The Senior Staff Assay Biostatistician provides statistical expertise and leadership in the development and validation assays. The Biostatistician partners with key internal stakeholders to design, analyze, and interpret pre-analytical and analytical studies in support of GRAIL's product development.
You Will:
- Provide non-clinical experiment design and analysis and statistical input to protocols, reports, presentations, publications or regulatory filings.
- Develop statistical methods to support process monitoring, qualification of reagents or instruments, and assay quality specifications.
- Possess the ability to influence internal collaborators on issues of study design, statistical methods and interpretation of results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the application of statistics to Genomics including statistical modeling of high dimensional data, design of experiments, and data analyses.
Your Background Will Include:
- PhD in a statistical discipline with 7+ years of experience. MS with 10+ years of experience experience will be considered
- Demonstrated success in an industry setting adapting statistical methods to develop assays and algorithms for product based on NGS or other assay technologies of similar complexity
- Strong knowledge of both theoretical and applied statistics.
- Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation skills with a strong ability to influence and communicate effectively.
- Experience with high level programming languages such as R, Go or Python.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed and thrive in a rapid paced and cross-functional team environment and to provide broad statistical expertise in support of Research and Development activities.
