Our client, located in Milpitas, CA is seeking a SSD Hardware Architect to be part of a new team that is working on a new groundbreaking platform with special new architecture to address the growing cloud market. it is being managed as a small & high quality startup within the company where each employee can really make the difference both on the technical (what) and behavioral (how) parts that they do.


Job Description:

In this position, you will technically lead and participate in development of advanced system architectures for the companies next generation enterprise solid state drive products.

You will be responsible for development of the system hardware architecture and will initiate and analyze changes to the architecture of the product.


You will help to determine technological improvement in all areas of the product, including next-generation ASIC, power management ICs, NAND memory, and other components.

Typical activities would also include designing, programming, debugging, and modifying simulation models in order to evaluate these changes and assess the performance, power, and thermal behavior of the product.

You will work closely with excellent colleague engineers, cope with complex challenges, innovate, and develop products that will be sold in millions of units.


Qualifications:

BS and 6 years of experience in the field of Computer/Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

Experience with scripting automation using Python

Prior experience in embedded systems architecture, storage devices, and hardware design

Having experience with NAND flash, DRAM, and NVMe SSDs is highly desirable.

Must have strong problem-solving skills.

The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.

Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people.

Proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team.

Ability to work effectively cross-functionally.

Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
