Job Purpose: Maintains production and quality by repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose, analyze and repair equipment to ensure product quality and optimal production.
• Perform preventative and preventative electrical maintenance.
• Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance to maintain equipment integrity and runtime efficiency. ·
• Install electrical conduit using various bends to get the conduit from point A to point B, including pulling and terminating wiring.
• Participate in the upgrade of production lines with new equipment/technology.
• Comply with plant Safe Quality Food (SQF), HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and audit standards.
• Document of all work, planned and unplanned, using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform general shop housekeeping
• May perform additional responsibilities directed from management.
• Promote and follow Rizo Lopez policies and procedures.
• Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.

Language Requirements

• Ability to speak effectively and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, blue prints, schematic, or schedule form.
• Ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one situation to other associates within the facility. (Spanish/English bilingual preferred)

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Knowledgeable of PLC programs, AC/DC circuits, motor control systems and control networks for the purpose of maintenance, testing and repairs.
• Basic computer skills and use of CMMS. ·
• Understanding and diligent application of lockout tagout (LOTO) and other safety protocols. ·
• Possess an analytical mind and ability to understand and demonstrate analytical principles.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions. ·
• Skilled in the safe and proper use of hand and power tools, electrical test equipment and related tools and instruments necessary to perform the job.. ·
• Ability to work with multi-functional teams and have the ability to interact positively with others. ·
• Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Vocational, Associate's (AA) or Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from accredited college or university;
• Experience in a technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years experience in the industrial electrical trade; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee must frequently use computer and other special operating equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
