Position Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who will support all aspects of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day HR functions including but not limited to recruiting, training and development, records maintenance, employee recognition programs and other various projects.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform recruitment activities, interview, and evaluate candidates for all open positions and maintain accurate records. Perform and track outreach to community sources as needed.
  • Onboard new hires and conduct orientation.
  • Maintain data for and support our affirmative action program; ensure data for our annual EEO and VETS reports is accurate.
  • Maintain HRIS records and create/generate reports as needed.
  • Process personnel action forms and assure proper approvals.
  • Create and maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic. Ensures compliance with retention schedule.
  • May facilitate employee training and be involved in needs assessments and recommendations.
  • Performs other Human Resources related duties, as required.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail, be organized, and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work on time.
  • Must be resourceful and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and software.
  • Experience with an HRIS is preferred.
  • Experience with a recruiting system is preferred.
  • HR certificate or Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
