Our team is seeking a Manufacturing, Document Control, and Product Lifecycle Manager to support sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices through techniques in computational agriculture.You will be working on a small, nimble, cross functional team. You will work on manufacturing engineering, document control, and product life cycle management efforts, leveraging Alphabet infrastructure and X's multidisciplinary innovation approach. You will contribute to the hardware platform to collect and classify relevant field data.What makes this role uniqueOpportunity to grow a product from early stage to a mature projectThe opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environmentThe chance to participate in creating breakthrough technologies in the Computational Agriculture domainHow you will make an Impact:Collaborates across the organization to ensure proper documentation control, and influence future product designs and build processesManage system integration teams from PLM to ERP, CAD, MES and other downstream systemsWork side by side CM on to manage manufacturing responsibilities including schedule, planning, documentation, testing, shipmentOwn the process affecting new prototypes and products shipping from the CM, and setup framework for on-time deliveryManage creation and upkeep of product documentation such as BOMs, repeatable Work Instructions, SOPs, and Product SpecificationsCreate and train organization on proper document control process and proceduresCollaborate with Mechanical and Electrical engineering teams through NPI and production designs to ensure proper document control via accurate and complete drawings, part number creations, and all parts / assemblies fully released in Agile PLMEnsure all changes (ECO, MCO, DEV) are processed and accurate within a timely mannerManage purchasing, supply chain, and inventoryProvide operational and supply chain analysis, and communicate resource needsDrive continuous process improvements to improve quality and delivery predictabilityOversee logistics related to shipping documentation such as Classification & Valuation for import/export complianceAct as liaison between Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance and Central X teams or organizationsParticipate in QBRs with suppliers and CMsManages Zero-Wait-State (ZWS) Solidworks EPDM to Agile PLM connector tool issues.What you should have:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering, Document Control & Product Lifecycle Management, or Quality ManagementWizardry in document control, Agile PLM, Import/Export, and corresponding ERP systems.Experience supporting products with CM/ODM/JDM partners, and documenting specificationsKnowledge of mechanical and electrical development platforms such as Solidworks, Solidworks EPDM, Altium, and Orcad.Experience with electro-mechanical and / or PCBA, and system level manufacturingFamiliarity with MES systemsSelf-driven, analytical problem solver and risk taker, comfortable working in ambiguous environmentsStrong interpersonal and leadership skills, and extremely strong written / verbal presentation skillsIt would be great if you also had these:Experience with industrial equipment, off-road, or electric vehicles (outdoor rated, UL compliant, high voltage and high current, and safety systems)Experience Drafting, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processing for Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) releaseExperience with Quality Control (QC), Quality Assessment (QA), or Quality Management Systems (QMS)Cross-functional management experienceExperience in a startup environmentExperience with farming and agriculture
