Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Manager 2 - Supplier Quality to support our efforts in Northridge, CA.
In this position, the Manager 2 - Supplier Quality is responsible for Supplier Quality risk management and implementing risk-based approaches throughout all associated processes. In addition, the selected candidate develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems. Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Leads and manages Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) who interfaces directly with supplier personnel. The Supplier Quality Manager is also responsible for all activities and personnel related to the acceptance of supplier provided products and services including Receiving Inspection, Source Inspection, In-Process Inspection and Delegated Source Inspection. Implements metrics associated with these activities and ensures the resulting data appropriately informs the supplier quality evaluation and control systems. These activities include the evaluation, acceptance and archival of supplier provided documentation including Certificates of Conformance, Test Data and First Article Inspection Reports. May additionally provide similar document processing and archival support for internal production-related documents and artifacts.
The Manager 2 - Supplier Quality oversees and manages SQEs and Inspectors to execute the aforementioned processes and ensures all staff are appropriately trained and effective in their assigned roles. Must be knowledgeable in the following activities: Assessing supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures, conducting product, process and quality system verifications, monitoring supplier quality performance, and driving root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues. The Supplier Quality Manager is primarily accountable for the maintenance of the Approved Supplier List (ASL); develops and executes processes to monitor supplier performance to determine the degree and frequency of supplier oversight and continued status of each supplier on the ASL. Manages processes that govern supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting. Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases. Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs. Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, and development and execution of supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans.

Basic Qualifications:
• Current/active Secret clearance, with the ability to successfully maintain this level of clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of related experience in Mission/Quality Assurance.
• Highly proficient in AS9100.
• Proven experience interfacing with external customers and suppliers.

Salary Range: 127800 - 191600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
