Position Summary:
This position assumes responsibility for 2D printing production services for our customer(s) at the customer site.? The 2D technician will primarily produce orders on the Zund G3 fabric cutter, Trotec CO2 laser, LPKF UV laser, and the Omax Micromax waterjet. At the customer's request, support the customer with other tasks and duties, though management of all engineering and customer requests .
Key Responsibilities or Essential Functions:

Managing customer order intake?to ensure efficient build orders and on-time?deliveries. ?
File fixing when necessary to ensure successful 3D prints ?
Managing consumables inventory ?
Organizing 3D printing space and consumables ?
Making materials recommendations and sharing capabilities (both in-house and through FATHOM services) with?customer ?
ASAP part production per customer requests ?
Collaborate with FATHOM production managers to ensure deadlines are met ?
Providing "white glove" service at the customer site ?
Preferred /Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree, emphasis in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering preferred , and
Experience in basic CAM usage for converting STP files into DXF to be cut on the 2D cutting machines
Experience in using either commercial laser cutters, waterjets, or 2D fabric cutting machines. Experience in one of these areas would be applicable for the other equipment as they all process 2D DXF files and have similar processing requirements. However, someone with experience in multiple areas would be ideal.
Some machine troubleshooting experience. This position will not be doing maintenance, but they may need to clear clogs in the waterjet, or clear jammed blades on the Zund.
Some assembly experience would be helpful but not required.
Basic material knowledge of lasercut, waterjet, or fabric cutting materials would be helpful but not required.Experience in design for manufacturing and assembly techniques preferred , and ? ?
Plastic tooling & part design a plus , and
Experience with other manufacturing methods a plus , and?
Understanding of engineering materials for both manufacturing and product design ?
Attention to detail and ability to communicate and collaborate across teams is a must , and ? ?
Familiarity with Additive Manufacturing technologies is desired , and?
Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment, or
