Business Analyst

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst role works with clients, technical development, and business operational teams to drive the design and development of innovative solutions, aligned with requirements, for successful implementation. The individual fulfilling this role understands customer and Lumeris technical and business needs, gathers and documents associated business requirements, participates in technical design, and collaborates with development teams to execute and ensure successful release of features and functionality.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

* Performs project analyses, working closely with Product Owners, clients, and business stakeholders to understand, capture, and detail solution need and impact.
* Develops functional and non-functional specifications for data and analytics related projects including complex business rules, data and application dependencies, logic flow diagrams, validation methods, and acceptance criteria.
* Works closely with internal and external clients, product owners, user experience designers, developers and testers to ensure clear understanding of requirements, and high-quality implementation.
* Supports and collaborates on the design and development of implementation features.
* Participates in the design and testing activities, including design and testing of prototypes and orchestration and sign-off on acceptance test results to ensure design integrity.
* Develops an in-depth understanding of the implementation solution, including business and technical requirements and be knowledgeable on related cutting-edge methods, tools and technologies.
* Researches and analyzes problems and recommend solutions.
* Acts as a subject matter expert for development of Feature's evidentiary standard/s and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
* 3+ years or related experience
* Ability to quickly facilitate and elicit actionable requirements documentation to enable successful implementation
* Good analytical and critical thinking skills and competencies
* Experience with advanced design, testing, implementation, marketing, and integration of software and/or business process solutions for implementation
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
* Knowledge and Expertise with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including Atlassian and Smartsheet tool sets

Working Conditions

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in normal office working conditions.
