What Are We Seeking?

A Corporate Technology Liaison

Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Corporate Liaison is to represent the needs of the companys business personnel to technical planning groups in I.T., and, likewise, to represent the needs of I.T. to business personnel. Working closely with and reporting to the Director of Operations, the liaison develops a solid understanding of how business operations function. The liaison identifies improvement opportunities and defines technical requirements to help I.T. teams design hardware or software solutions. Essentially, the liaison serves as a bridge linking the Operations department and I.T. department to ensure the services I.T. provides align efficiently with the needs of the business.

Job Duties:

• Reports directly to the Director of Operations
• Collaborate closely with Operations, I.T. and Marketing to ensure that the Company SOPs and solutions align with technology and business capability roadmaps
• Assist in the development of the overall project plan (scoping process) as well as individual work plans; acting as liaison between departments for troubleshooting (investigates, analyses, and solves software problems).
• Partner with impacted parts of the business to implement new processes, functionality, and ongoing efficiency improvement.
• Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems based upon industry knowledge and experience.
• Actively contribute to meeting the goals and objectives within the company.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of business operations and software development
• Strong change and project management skills, including the ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Mature professional, with excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people at all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced and quickly moving environment undergoing change.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy and data protection regulation, and a solid understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion and sound judgment. High ethics are required, plus the ability to effectuate change and identify noncompliance even if unpopular.
• Ability to understand and map out overall internal processes and systems.
• Bachelor's in Business Administration
• 3-4 years of relevant experience

Job Location: Oakland, CA

Hours/Week: Full Time/40 Hours

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000
