Your Role
The Communications, Citizenship and Reputation team advances our company's reputation and better serve our employees, members and providers. The Executive Communications Manager (Human Resources Programs) will report to the Senior Manager, Executive Communications (Human Resources Programs). In this role as an individual contributor, you will partners with key stakeholders to design and implement communication strategies, plans and programs that create clarity, confidence and connection to Blue Shield of California's mission and goals, and promote our reputation and brand internally.

Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement a communication strategy for key executives and business stakeholders to forward business goals
- Develop and manage editorial calendars and/or production for various internal communications and events
- Manage content on our company intranet (Shield Central)
- Develop new and creative ways to deliver internal messages
- Develop message platforms; writes edits and produces internal communication messages on key issues
- Support and build employee engagement through storytelling and creative campaigns
- Drive communications in areas across Human Resources including Learning and Development, Wellness, Total Rewards, annual surveys, and others.
- Partner with the Senior Manager of HR Programs to develop and implement strategies, campaigns, and collateral
- Support annual processes and programs such as Open Enrollment, performance management, rewards and recognition, technology implementations, and business transformation
- Partner across business units and functions to develop campaigns and tell our story through various media, including video, social and events
Qualifications:
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 7 years prior relevant experience, including 3 years of management experience gained as a team leader, supervisor or project/program manager
- Expertise in Human Resources areas talent and leadership, learning and development, awards and recognition, diversity and inclusion and others
- Proven ability to understand clients' communications needs and make strong recommendations; solid experience creating communications briefs and plans
- Outstanding writing skills with ability to capture the executive's voice and elevate their content and presence; ability to simplify complex content and write in a clear, succinct, engaging format that adapts to different audiences
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to develop and execute multiple end-to-end programs concurrently and with little oversight
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and senior client relationship management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge in managing organizational change, including culture shifts, technology transitions, office moves, and mergers and acquisitions.
