Roofstock is looking for a Real Estate Analyst to join our team. This position reports to the Head of Investments and will be responsible for assisting the team in making strategic decisions, underwriting investment opportunities, implementing process improvements, and fulfilling project management needs.

What You Will Do

    • Support Analyst and Associate team with initial data analysis on various projects so that the team may design and execute plans for sourcing new opportunities
    • Support the Cloudhouse team in underwriting and managing investment opportunities
    • Assist with market expansion and ramp up of acquisition and disposition activity through various Roofstock channels
    • Assist the team's investment activity through inventory tracking and acquisition / disposition strategies
    • Support build-out of technology and sourcing channels to identify both supply and disposition channels
    • Assist with the transaction process on both acquisition and disposition of investment properties by performing due diligence and working closely with institutional and retail buyers & sellers, title companies, lenders, and property management teams
    • Work closely with property management teams in the leasing and overall asset-management of Cloudhouse investment properties
    • Work within established company processes to perform financial analysis and modeling for new initiatives and projects
    • Uncover investment opportunities through creative and thoughtful sourcing and analysis
    • Troubleshoot errors that arise in existing processes to increase efficiency
    • Support Analyst and Associate teams with backend system management


What You Bring With You
    • Bachelor's degree in Business/Economics, STEM or similar fields
    • Experience in SFR a plus
    • 2-4 years of experience in real estate, investment banking, private equity or finance preferred
    • Experience making investment decisions
    • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
    • A self-starter mentality
    • A "get the job done" attitude
    • Ability to do whatever it takes to achieve the end goal
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong experience with Excel and financial modeling
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Ability to resolve problems through data analysis with limited supervision
    • Ability to make informed suggestions on next course of action based on your analysis
