Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an EHS Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. Essential Functions:
Interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies.
Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements.
Finds, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors waste handling.
Completes audits, IH sampling, and ergonomic assessments.
Perform Industrial hygiene testing
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a STEM Degree with 2 years' experience OR a Master's degree with 0 years' experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance, per business requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
Must have the ability to travel
Experience with field activity planning and coordination
Completes IH audits, IH sampling, and ergonomic assessments and completes IH reports.
Perform Industrial hygiene surveys
Experience with indoor air quality investigations
Must be able to write and prepare reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
Preferred Qualifications:
Industrial hygiene (IH) background with 2 years experience
Military and Aerospace background
Active DoD Secret clearance
Special Program Access
Salary Range: 74200 - 111400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
