Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Support Equipment Engineer II to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
Position Summary / Responsibilities
Candidates must utilize a Systems Engineering approach to establish Support Equipment functional and performance requirements and advance through the solution concept of development, hardware design, manufacture and test phases. Applicants must be familiar with Computer Aided Design tools (CATIA preferred) and be experienced with detail and assembly level design. Applicants will be responsible to ensure that Support Equipment requirements are coordinated with Integrated Product Team members, as well as with subcontractors and using customers. Candidates must be eager to learn, self- motivated and possess excellent interpersonal, and communication skills and also be proficient with the Microsoft Office tool suite.

Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or inadequate work product should be detected by supervisory oversight but may cause delay in program schedules and allocation of additional resources
Liaison
Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors in a STEM degree field and a minimum of 6 years' experience defining requirements and/or designing products OR a Masters in a STEM degree field with 4 experience
Current Active DoD Secret Clearance with periodic review or re-investigation within the last 5 years required to start.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access as required per business requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and Support Equipment. Experience with CATIA and be familiar with the TeamCenter release tool. Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

Salary Range: 92000 - 138000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
