Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems has an immediate opening at our Palmdale, California facility for a Systems Test Engineer. The primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Contribute to the development of detailed test plans, test schedules, and test procedures and provide support for integration testing.
Support and host test planning working groups.
Contribute to test card development and review in collaboration with other engineering disciplines, system test and engineering management.
Interface with design and analysis functions to develop test and test data requirements
Coordinate test equipment and personnel requirements for safe and efficient execution of tests.
Provide test execution support and make real-time decisions regarding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Participate in post-test data evaluation and discrepancy resolution.
Serve as the subject matter focal point to interface with internal and external organizations to develop test and test data requirements.
Excellent communication skills required, must work well in a team environment, and must work independently to solve a variety of complex problems.
Basic Qualifications:
9 years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math).
7 Years with Masters in STEM
4 years with a Ph.D. in STEM
Overtime, odd shifts, and weekend work will be required.
Current Active DOD Top Secret clearance
The ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of system test and integration.
Prior test technician experience.
Experience calibrating and inspecting special test equipment.
Experience creating, updating and executing test procedures.
Salary Range: 114048 - 171072
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
