Position Summary:
As a host, you will be responsible for providing a positive, warm guest experience, cheerfully greeting them upon arrival and leading them to their seat. You understand the importance of excellent customer service and graciously answer any and all questions received. The host has excellent organization and communication skills, striving to maintain a clean and efficient environment for customers and coworkers. You manage your time effectively and understand how to work productively in a team-oriented context.
Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:
- Represent the restaurant with authenticity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Warmly and graciously greet all guest upon arrival and exit, offering them assistance or direction.
- Record guest names and number of people in a party when seating is limited, providing an accurate estimated waiting time and availability.
- When tables have been prepared, efficiently locate guest and party to be led to the correct seating area.
- Take note of any special seating requests or guests preferences with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Communicate clearly and professionally to servers and bus people on guest needs, using outstanding teamwork skills.
- Upon seating, offer guests a menu, inform them of their server's name, and inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
- Complete end of shift duties.
- Actively prepared to assist in side work or other duties as necessary or as assigned.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures throughout the execution of tasks and responsibilities.
- Sustain the safety of the property though risk-management behavior, proper inspections, participation in Safety and Security Committee and knowledge of emergency procedures.

Experience and Education:
- 1 year of Host experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for a long period of time.
Physical Requirements:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
