EHS Coordinator

Job Description:

The EH&S Coordinator is responsible for all EH&S functions at the Novato/Petaluma facility. This includes but is not limited to coordination of all EH&S procedures and policy training, organizing and conducting Spill Response, Safety Committee meetings. Responds to all EH&S requests at the Novato facility. Organizes all hazardous waste and interfaces with hazardous waste contractor for waste disposal. Performs all safety inspections throughout the Novato/Petaluma facility. Documents all inspection finding and informs functional manager of pertinent findings. Responds to all EH&S emergencies at the Novato/Petaluma facility. Acts as the Facility Operations liaison when necessary. Reports to the EH&S Lead.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Coordination of EHS policy and procedures
• Prepares and presents various safety training sessions.
• Works with management and staff to identify and eliminate hazardous work environments and practices.
• Monitors and assist with facilities tickets/personal requests.
• Assist with finding solution to any duties with gaps in coverage.
• Performs hazardous waste inspections and reporting.
• Performs ergonomic evaluations and follow-ups.
• Organizes, and is a member of, spill response team.
• Performs inspections of fire extinguisher, emergency exit lighting, and safety shower and eyewash testing.
• Stocking visitor supplies, while maintaining visitor/contractor sign in cards.
• Restocks safety glasses, spill kits, GHS stickers, and hazardous waste labels
