Contract to Hire Position

Remote in Sacramento Area Only - must go into office 1 to 3 times per month

This position is more administrative than project management -

Responsible for coordinating, organizing and controlling project activities under the direction of a Project Manager & Project Management Office Director for a variety of project, program, and portfolio assignments as liaison and primary contact coordinating among the Advanced Recognition Systems Project Management team, and specific Corporate functions, vendors, agencies and customers. Assists Project Management team as needed to ensure On-Time delivery and maintain highest levels of Customer Satisfaction. Provide updates and status reports to keep management informed of current Project status.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
The Project Coordinator manages client-facing and company internal projects throughout the project lifecycle, including project scope, schedule, communications, risk, resources, quality, costs and change management. Has responsibility for the successful delivery of all assigned projects. This involves responsibility for project profitability, schedule, and customer relationship management. This individual is a key liaison to the client with regards to day‐to‐day management of the project plan and its progress for client implementations. Works independently and collaboratively with the project team, and receives guidance from senior level peers and management for implementation strategy & methodology.

  • Review the project requirements and scope and assist Project Manager (PM) in the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing phases of the project
  • Provide updates on projects to clients, project team(s) and management
  • Schedule project meetings per project plan and/or when needed
  • Communicate with clients on project specific activities, including meeting notes and action items
  • Maintain and update project documents and Quality Management System artifacts
  • Facilitate the completion of project document deliverables
  • Facilitate and manage project financial monitoring, controlling and forecasting
  • Facilitate the ordering and accounting of project hardware and software
  • Manage project process to ensure all processes are being completed in a timely manner for customer satisfaction
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others and keep project managers and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations


Skill/Experience/Education

MandatoryEducation: Bachelor of Science in related field, Business Administration (Preferred), OR equivalent experience. Experience: 2 or more years of experience in operations. Experience working with systems engineers/project management desired. Certifications, Licenses, etc.: None required
Desired SkillsLanguage Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematics skills required.
Reasoning Skills: Excellent planning, time management, decision-making, and organizational skills required. Excellent Customer Service
Computer and/or Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office,
SAP, Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Server experience preferred
