Job description

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 5+ Months

Summary :
Plays a key role in designing and improving business processes and researching and documenting best practices. Understands business processes and recommends solutions for process improvement across the enterprise that creates efficiency and enterprise agility; balances technical expertise with a general understanding of VSP's business objectives to provide innovative, efficient solutions
Responsibilities:
Assess current processes, identify defects, areas of improvement and recommend solutions
Act as subject matter expert to provide business requirements for process improvements and system enhancements
Researches, analyzes, and reports fluctuations in financial and business results to identify trends and research variances; recommends changes to streamline processes to ensure maximum efficiency and appropriate utilization of resources
Create implementation plan and consult through implementation
Provide clear and concise documentation that supports the milestones of the project, represents key business decisions made, and obtains sign off from stakeholders
Identify and develop process improvement initiatives by conducting effective interviews/research on existing processes
Create and analyzes workflow diagrams
Review technical design deliverables to ensure business objectives are reached
Assist with needed documentation and information to gain agreement from business managers on new processes and service level agreements.
Assist business stakeholders with user acceptance testing, defect reporting and resolution
Provide training including identification of needs, development of materials, communications of changes, manuals, etc.
Prepares reports that assist in financial decision-making, identifies any specific trends to assist in cost control
Provide post-implementation support, such as problem resolution, adjustments to new procedures, and change management
Develop presentations of materials, models, findings, plans and/or conclusions
Continually looks for process improvement strategies

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent analytical experience
3 years of process improvement or related experience
Related process certification such as Lean, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or other quality certification
Experience with continuous quality improvement methods and tools
Experience using tracking, reporting, and process mapping tools
Solid experience using MS Office tools with strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Experience using Minitab and other statistical analysis software
Ability to use SQL and other query/extraction tools
Excellent complex problem- solving and critical-thinking ability
Basic project management skills required
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple task
Excellent organization and prioritization skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to take initiative to learn and take on challenges
Experience introducing new techniques and tools
Excellent facilitation and influencing skills
Strong business and financial acumen
Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
Experience in development and delivery of procedure and process documentation to support operational conversion to new CRM and other technologies
