Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for a Engineering & Operations Process Excellence Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

The Process Excellence Manager 3 will concurrently manage, lead, and facilitate a strategic operational process transformation project for SSSD. In this role, you will help achieve corporate business goals and strategic objectives by devising creative solutions and innovative ideas to improve our processes. You will be the responsible for the successful technical and financial execution of the project. You will collaboratively lead and support these initiatives from inception to completion by leveraging methods and tools consistent with industry standards. You will manage a cross functional team that is focused on improving processes, training, and data analytics/metrics across engineering and operations. You will lead technical meetings with functional and program leadership and as well as strategic reviews with SSSD's executive leadership. You will manage organizational change as you manage our transition from document based to model based processes across our functions and programs. In support of that transition, you will manage a team utilizing process mapping software (such as Nimbus and Visio) to develop, implement, and maintain process and data models; specifically to define "current state" and transform into the "future state".

In this role, you will:

Plan and implement the Space Process Excellence initiative across the Strategic Space Systems Division Engineering and Operations organizations.

Management of model-based process architecture development and deployment

Identify and manage process documentation gap analysis/update/creation, training, user interface, configuration management & control, and oversight to ensure process execution and compliance in order to minimize future process escapes on space programs

Management of project strategic direction and planning, cost and schedule management, collaboration with Space programs, data analytics and metrics, development of an affordable sustainment plan and project transition into sustainment

Financial responsibility for a multi-million dollar annual project budget

Develop and execute Executive level briefings.

Organizational change management related to process & infrastructure change

Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business need

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with 10 years of experience in engineering, operations, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, process management, and/or program/project management.

Knowledge of Lean/ Six sigma methodology and process management

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance and SCI

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working effectively across organizational and program boundaries

Experience with TIBCO Nimbus process modeling tool

Demonstrated ability to develop and brief executives

Active DoD Secret clearance with SCI

Lean/Six Sigma/Agile training/certification

Salary Range: 137200 - 205800

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
