Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is seeking a Staff Mission Assurance Engineer to join out team at the Redondo Beach, CA location.
As a Staff Mission Assurance Engineer, you will define, develop, document, and manage Mission Assurance/Quality processes to implement internal and customer requirements for Space System programs. You will generate staffing forecasts and coordinate them with Mission Assurance leadership to satisfy the programs budget profile through all phases of program lifecycle. You will facilitate and lead program technical meetings to analyze process noncompliance's and implement corrective measures formulated through formal root cause analysis. You will lead and mentor junior Quality Engineers utilizing your collected Quality/Mission Assurance or related experiences.
Essential Functions:
Analyze program mission assurance requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain program specific Quality/Mission Assurance Plans
Develop Basis of Estimates (BOE) for Engineering Changes and/or Proposal operations
Report earned value and cost variances
Monitor compliance to Mission Assurance plans for both make and buy
Lead Program Corrective Action Boards (PCAB)
Facilitate process improvement activities
Lead root cause and corrective action investigations to include Failure Review Boards (FRB).
Basic Qualifications:
14 Years of experience in Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing or related engineering field with Bachelors in Science; OR 12 Years with Masters; OR 9 Years with PhD.
Active Department of Defense Top Secret level with SSBI OR SCI access
Ability to lead teams and report at all levels of the organization.
Broad understanding of production operations in electrical, mechanical, and/or integration test and launch and be able develop forecast budget and manpower estimates
Ability to interpret Engineering drawings and specifications and determine appropriate quality assurance process verification methodologies to ensure compliance
Ability to successfully lead multidiscipline teams during root cause and corrective action investigations
Ability to analyze requirements, organize data, develop plans, and present to all levels of management
Preferred Qualifications:
MS/MBA
Prior Mission Assurance leadership role on a space systems satellite program
Broad, enterprise-wide view and understanding of ISO AS9100D compliant processes and organizational infrastructures
Proven track record of providing innovative solutions to complex issues

Salary Range: 141400 - 212200
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
