Job description

We are seeking Credit Associate that is responsible for providing critical support in our Credit and Underwriting department by evaluating credit reports based on TopMark Funding's multiple funding sources and their underwriting guidelines. The position requires high level communication, organizational, written, and analytical abilities; and requires proven customer service in a busy office setting. The Credit Associate will review credit attributes of our clients in detail to determine the most applicable approval structure for our customers. Being resourceful, this person needs to be able to not only identify which funding source best matches the transaction best but will also manage the presentation of the funding package to the appropriate funding source for approval.


Job Duties / Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Review credit reports and prepare credit submission packets which have been thoroughly vetted and analyzed to meet the approval requirements of our funding sources.
  • High level analyzing of Credit Reports and ancillary credit attributes to determine credit factors which could lead to an approval or denial by our funding sources.
  • Work to eliminate denial factors on credit reports and identify documentation needed from our clients which could clear credit stipulations, before presenting a transaction to our funding sources.
  • Review financing eligibility for our clients and determine next steps
  • Make decisions on applications submitted through internal and dealer relationships while placing a strong emphasis on response time, attention to details and the quantity of applications processed
  • High level of communications between all departments.
  • Exercise sound judgment when reviewing details and potential alerts and/or risks associated with credit reports that may lead to a credit denial.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and escalate any matters non-compliant to Credit Management.
  • Some data entry to manage overflow of credit application input into our CRM system
  • Review accuracy of credit applications and contact customers and/or Account Associate to resolve any invalid detail.
  • Logically document all credit decisions in the Salesforce.com database.
  • Review any conditions, stipulations or pre-funding requirements received.
  • Follow up with Funding Sources to ensure items needed are received prior to funding.
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned by the Credit team.



Requirements:

· 2+ Years of Office Setting experience.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook

· Extremely high attention to detail

· Extremely high sense of urgency and a "roll up your sleeves" attitude

· Proactive, "take-charge" work ethic.

· Experience working as a loan processor, credit Assistant or working in the finance industry to process loan packets is highly desirable, but not necessary.

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university preferred

· Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

· Typing needs to be at 60 wpm and be accurate (typing test will be administered)
