Job Summary:

The Commercial Credit Loan Reviewer supports the objectives of the Regional Bank Commercial Credit QC Program. This includes following prescribed QC protocols, processes and / or methods designed to detect and monitor the Regional Bank commercial credit front-line business unit activities, ensuring adherence to all applicable credit policies, procedures, and processes. Provide feedback on observed issues and technical assistance to front line and supporting staff, as appropriate.

Major Responsibilities:

100% Quality Control:

Support the Regional Bank Commercial Credit Quality Control Program, ensuring front-line business units adhere to all applicable credit policies, procedures, and processes.
Proactively surface identified issues to QC manager, team leaders, or supported business units, as appropriate.
Remain current with all applicable credit policies, procedures and processes.
Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with supported front-line business units.
Provide technical guidance to supported front-line business units related to credit policies, procedures, processes, and QC protocols, processes, or methods.
Primarily supports credit policies/procedures with higher complexity.
Promote effective and open communication with the Regional Bank team.
Promote teamwork within the Risk & Controls Division and other Bank front-line units.
May act as lead or subject matter expert within the team.

Education, Licensure, Year of Experience (and type of work experience):

A BA or BS degree is required,
10+ years of experience preferred with progressive lending, commercial credit quality control, credit examination (loan review), or prior extensive lending experience in C&I or commercial real estate.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Experience in commercial credit-related fields.
Excellent skills in credit, financial statement analysis, collateral valuation, and thorough understanding of commercial credit-related policies, procedures, processes, and systems.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, credit/loan approval systems, and financial statement spreading applications.
