The Role:

We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. Data Analyst III will provide analytical support and financial models for pharmacy initiatives by preparing background, analysis, data tables and specific recommendation for presentation to committee.

As Data Analyst III:

* Provide analytical support and financial models to the Strategy Development Committee for placement of new drugs, formulary changes, and pharmacy initiatives.
* Prepare background, analysis, data tables and specific recommendation for presentation to committee.
* Evaluate manufacturer rebate proposals and make recommendations.
* Monitor cost and utilization trends in assigned areas to quickly identify potential opportunities and risks.

o Suggest mitigating action or changes to strategy to minimize risks or take advantage of opportunities.

* Analyze and document reasons for changes in cost and utilization trends for an assigned area.
* Review rebate invoicing for accuracy, document issues and track to resolution.
* Extract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources
* Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to management.
* Develop reports and deliverables for management
* Model data using MS Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data ware house analytical tools

Additionally you will bring:

* Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
* 4 years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
* Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Reporting/Analysis/Intelligence tools, SQL, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access.
