Overview:
Antech Diagnostics, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of an Laboratory Generalist I working out of our Sacramento, California Laboratory and reporting directly to the Lab Manager. Provided a job offer is made and accepted, we are offering a one-time Signing Bonus of $1,000.00 [minus all applicable taxes].

Our diagnostic spectrum of tests in the areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology enhance veterinarians' ability to detect, diagnose, evaluate and prevent disease and other conditions affecting animals.

Responsibilities:
As a Laboratory Generalist I you will work to ensure the lab is running efficiently to meet and/or exceed goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience performing some clinical diagnostic testing

Must have experience in at least three clinical areas including Hematology, Serology, Chemistry, Processing, etc.

Process samples and prepare samples for send out.

Perform all required quality control per QA guidelines.

Train on all areas to include Processing, Chemistry, Hematology, UA and Coag according to all SOP's.

Entering and releasing of results.

Responsible for the performance of tests such as Chemistry -Olympus, T4-Olympus, CBC-Advia, Progesterone, PT, PTT, Platelet count, Reticulocytes and UA.

Participate in all departmental training programs.

Reconcile pending list.

Qualifications:
Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Science related field or Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 1
year clinical laboratory experience

0-1 year clinical lab experience and well verse in Hematology preferred

Excellent attention to detail; good organizational skills

Excellent oral and written communications skills (will occasionally need to speak with sales reps, laboratory personnel from main laboratory site, and may need to speak with clients.)
