Job description

Position Mission:

Consistently strives to enhance or B:C cstomer experience, across a deined territory o approximately 3 NAPA retail stores, inclding both Independent and Company Owned.

ltimately accontable or B:C retail store and digital sales growth, delivered throgh a "one team" cltre at store level, seeking to change the cltre to spport a dal ormat bsiness o both B:C and B:B (wholesale).

Embeds best in class retail standards and monitors progress toward that standard. Recrits, onboards, coaches, mentors, and trains retail specialists to ensre the correct team is in place to spport retail eorts.

Implements the central retail plan, ensring all spplier commitments made at HQ are lly exected in the ield and delivering change management projects with consistency and an obsessive cstomer lens.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Consistently strives to improve the overall / end to end Cstomer Experience
  • Adapts to the niqe needs o company owned and independently owned stores, leading the retail eort across both store types, within an assigned territory o approximately 3 stores
  • Coaches Store Managers to set expectations, train their team and hold them to accont
  • Collaborates cross nctionally with DC leadership to hold company owned Store Managers to accont, in leading desired B:C otcomes at store level and acqire assistance in holding independent owners, and their teams, to accont
  • Embeds the retail basics o: Planograms, Price Labels, Ot o Stock management, hosekeeping and cstomer service, by training, coaching and mentoring
  • Implements the central retail plan, inclding promotional tie p or Retail Sales Driver, ad-hoc retail promotions and Real Deals
  • Rolls ot change management - ensring not only processes, systems and standards are clearly nderstood, bt the store team nderstands how to enhance Cstomer Experience, beyond jst a process, system or standard
  • Leads all digital initiatives, sch as (bt not limited to) Crbside Pickp, In store pickp, store B:C delivery (where appropriate) and online speciic promotional activities
  • Leads registrations or NAPA Rewards, ensring the store team are actively engaged in recritment and acqisition o ll registrations, inclding cstomer email
  • Leads all AAA sales initiatives, ensring all spporting materials are in place, team members engaged and correct check ot processes applied
  • Acts as the lynch pin between the ield and HQ, inclding marketing, pricing, HR, Store Operations, Spply Chain, IT, Digital and inance
  • Voice o the store team - ocsed on making lie easier or stores and
  • Voice o the cstomer - obsessed with breaking down barriers to brilliant Cstomer Experience
  • Works closely with HQ merchandize team, to nderstand category strategy, in order to execte all category initiatives lawlessly, inclding the delivery o all in store initiatives associated with spplier income - ensring that what is negotiated with sppliers is meticlosly delivered in all territory stores
  • Establishes adherence to daily, weekly and monthly retail processes helping to acilitate sperior levels o cstomer service at all times
  • Provides clear and eective commnication to all stake holders, inclding Store Managers, Retail Specialists, District Management and DC Sales teams
  • Ensres there is a designated retail specialist (CCA, RTL and / or RC) in all retail impact stores and actively seeks talent to ill these positions, working with the Ownership/District HR team to sorce candidates.
  • Signs o on all CO store level recritment or retail specialist
  • Develops reglar commnication channel between retail specialists - acts as their mentor and spport mechanism
  • Creates sccession plans or assigned stores in conjnction with the Store and Area Manager. Develops retention plans or all retail positions
  • acilitates new retail specialist team member onboarding

  • Experience, Edcation, and Abilities:
  • High School Diploma or eqivalent reqired. College degree or eqivalent sales experience or sccessl retail management experience preerred
  • Ability to nderstand and demonstrate retail essentials sch as store merchandizing, promotional displays, and price label accracy
  • 4+ years o recent experience in retail is essential
  • Mst have led a retail store team to at least the level o Store Manager, or in a large big box retailer; a Senior Department Manager
  • Experience ideally obtained in a mlti-site retail chain environment
  • Demonstrated sccession within a retail environment
  • Experience with independently owned retail stores is an advantage
  • Exemplary inlencing skills - critical to the role
  • Mst possess passion or cstomer service and nderstand Cstomer Experience
  • Demonstrates proessionalism, good jdgment and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to commnicate, present, and persade
  • Possesses problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrates organizational and planning skills, practice time management, meet deadlines and display a sense o rgency
