Volunteer Services Manager

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Manager of Volunteer Services will plan, direct and manage the day-to-day activities of the Volunteer Services department.
Key responsibilities include:
· Recruits, coordinates and monitors volunteers to provide a variety of services and support to programs throughout the Hospital
· Places and orients new volunteers.
· Supervises the activities of the Volunteer Services Assistant/Pet Therapy Coordinator.
· Develops department operating budget and manages fiscals controls
· Acts as liaison between community agencies and Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California
· Provide volunteer support for hospital and third party fundraisers, special events, and Health and Safety fairs.

Job Requirements:
Must have the ability to provide effective leadership, supervision, staff development/counseling and departmental fiscal controls as well as organize assignments. Demonstrates excellent computer and communication skills, both written and verbal. Requires working knowledge of volunteer management and trends, and previous experience working with Volunteers and Community outreach. Bachelor's degree in a related field and Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA preferred.
