Job description
We are filling one temporary position, and it can be filled in any of our three Alliance offices: Merced, Salinas, or Scotts Valley, CA
ABOUT THIS TEMP POSITION
This is a temporary position and the length of assignment is estimated to be until June 30, 2022. The length of the assignment is always dependent on business need and dates may change. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will:
* Coordinate and conduct all steps in the full lifecycle of Talent Acquisition (TA) activities, from meeting with hiring supervisors to plan recruitments through making job offers to selected candidates and coordinating employee onboarding
* Utilize the online applicant tracking system (ATS), Greenhouse
* Create advertising content for a variety of media channels
* Partner with hiring supervisors in a proactive way to address their needs in a timely manner
* Determine the effectiveness of recruitment plans, analyzing data and feedback, and recommending strategies to improve future recruitment and selection processes
* Market and represent the Alliance as an employer through interactions
* Ensure candidates have a positive experience in their interactions with the Alliance by partnering with the staff responsible for scheduling, developing professional correspondence, communicating accurately and timely, soliciting candidate feedback, and making recommendations for improvements
* Complete data entry on forms, offer letters, and other documents and proof-reading to ensure accuracy
* Ensure all job-related interview questions and selection methods and processes are compliant, appropriate and fair
* Facilitate selection interview processes, including providing information and guidance to interview panel members
* Develop phone screening questions, conducting phone screens and reference checks of applicants, and providing guidance and training to hiring supervisors on these processes
* Consult with leadership on appropriate salary placements, conducting compensation related research and analysis, extending job offers, and negotiating compensation with candidates
* Ensure legal compliance throughout all activities
* Learn and maintain knowledge of TA processes and policies and procedures
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
* Knowledge of:
* The basic principles and practices of recruitment and selection and equal employment opportunity
* Applicable federal and state laws related to recruitment and selection
* Applicant Tracking Systems and Human Resources Information Systems
* The principles and practices of customer service
* Ability to:
* Work collaboratively with hiring supervisors and managers to plan, manage and implement recruitment activities
* Conduct salary analysis, make sound compensation recommendations, and negotiate salaries with candidates
* Quickly learn and navigate Alliance software programs and database systems
* Exercise tact and diplomacy and demonstrate strong customer service skills when communicating in person, in writing, and by phone
* Work autonomously and also as a member of a team, remaining accountable and productive in a fully remote work environment
* Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration
* Minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources which included a minimum of one year of experience performing TA activities (a Master's degree may substitute for two years of the general Human Resources experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying
OTHER DETAILS
* While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in a fully telecommute work environment right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The interview and on-boarding process for this position will be completed remotely
* This position may require onsite presence when our offices re-open, which will be no sooner than February 1, 2022. Onsite presence will most likely be on a part-time basis, but is dependent on business needs
