The Business Analyst-UAS is responsible for becoming the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area(s) assigned. Creates content documentation for training materials. Participates in multi-disciplinary work teams to achieve successful execution of small to medium implementation projects. Participates and may facilitate organizational change management strategic plans, approaches and tactics with different business unit. Performs and documents business rules analysis, gap and fit analysis, creates measures and key performance indicators (KPIs), designs, and assures organizational readiness. Collaborates with Operations, Information Services, and Staff Development to support implementations and continual application improvement within his or her area(s) of focus. Maintains workflows design library, defines customization and optimizations, performs system configurations, meets reporting needs by creating and testing reports and extracts as needed, becomes the integrated system expert by understanding systems integration and providing day to day support of area(s) in focus. Performs other duties as needed.
Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Human Capital Management or related field required. Minimum two years of experience in department subject area or related field, or two years of experience in Information Systems using subject area Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or platform required. IIBA® Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA®) preferred.
Some understanding of technology structures (UML, Data Models, Networks, Database, etc.). Knowledge of Scrum or Lean processes. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Access, and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors, and customers. Excellent analytic, communication, and documentation skills. Able to organize technical work; demonstrate excellent planning, problem solving, analysis, documentation, presentation and organization skills; analyze and interpret data, processes and needs based on limited information; organize work and resources; define problems and solutions, prioritize work load; make recommendations; manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives effective. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
